Privacy

This policy applies to the Northland demand survey on this independent community campaign site.

What we collect

The survey collects your first name, email address, ZIP code, community, shopping frequency, likely spending per visit, current drive time, preferred Northland area, whether you submitted Trader Joe’s official request form, an optional comment, and your consent choices.

Why we collect it

We use the information to measure household demand, understand the current travel burden, identify broad geographic patterns, and prepare aggregate market evidence for Trader Joe’s, city officials, and commercial brokers. Email is used only for campaign updates when you opt in.

What we share

We share only aggregate, anonymized results. We never publish or provide email addresses. A comment may appear publicly only when its author checks the display-permission box.

Retention and deletion

Survey records are retained while they’re needed for the campaign’s demand analysis and outreach, then deleted when the campaign no longer has a legitimate use for them. You may request deletion of your submission at any time.

Security

Submissions are stored in a protected database. Public site APIs expose aggregate counts only and don’t return names, emails, or individual comments.
